Welcome - and thank you.

We believe that access to nature in the early years is a right every child deserves. Therefore, The Nature School of Sudbury is committed to ensuring that all families, regardless of their financial situation, can afford to send their child to school with us. Please consider contributing to our Nature School Fund to help us with this goal. Your support helps fund scholarships for families in need, provides essential outdoor gear for children who may not have it, or supply the tools and materials that make our outdoor classroom come alive—from field guides and art supplies to hammocks for rest time and seeds for our garden. Every contribution, large or small, directly supports the children in our program and helps us build a school where curiosity, resilience, and a love for the natural world can flourish.

The Nature School of Sudbury is opening this June thanks to the immense support of our extended community. The Sudbury Valley Trustees, families, staff, and friends all contribute to bringing to life our mission of providing children high quality education in nature.

Every gift is meaningful and advances our mission.

If you have questions about ways to give or how to get involved in our fundraising events, please get in touch with a member of our team. We guide supporters ways to contribute, from the Scholarship Fund, volunteering in our class, or providing help with renovations.

Please note: The Nature School of Sudbury operates as a limited liability company (LLC). Contributions support our educational program but are not tax-deductible charitable donations.

Where do my contributions go?

Scholarship Fund

Your contribution directly supports increasing access of this important education style to your community. Tuition reduction from our scholarships or financial aid funds make nature-based early education possible.

Gear Fund

Did you know that just a $20 supports the cost of new waterproof mittens? For children in our program having the right gear makes all the difference! Support for our Gear Fund directly support the comfort and safety of a child's experience outdoors.

Supplies & Curriculum Fund

Community funding for supply and curriculum directly support bringing nature discovery tools to our school. Supply a curious birder with new binoculars with a donation of $7, or a breezy afternoon nap in a hammock for just $25. These funds deepen our classroom's connection and discoveries, to our woods and the world.
